The Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, Paraguay will perform a free community concert at 7:15 p.m. May 18 at the Queensbury High School auditorium. All are welcome.
This will be the second Queensbury visit for the orchestra that uses instruments made from recycled materials from the landfill. This experience started when Queensbury Middle School seventh-grade students watched a documentary about the orchestra titled “Landfill Harmonic.”
Music Director Favio Chavez reached out to Queensbury Spanish teacher Amanda Breheny to coordinate a second visit. The orchestra will also perform during the school day for Queensbury students.
