Queensbury Union Free School District is accepting nominations for the 2026 class of the QUFSD Athletics Hall of Fame.
The Athletics Hall of Fame recognizes and honors athletes, coaches, teams, administrators, staff and community members who have made significant contributions to the district’s athletics program.
The event will occur on Saturday, Oct. 17, at The Queensbury Hotel. A cocktail social will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner and the ceremony.
To be considered for the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026, student-athletes must have graduated from Queensbury in 2003 or earlier. Only teams that won a New York State championship prior to 2003 — or advanced to the highest possible postseason competition level prior to state championships — will be eligible for consideration.
For all other categories, which include coaches, administrators, staff members and community contributors, the selection committee will examine nominees whose exceptional service, achievements and accomplishments were an integral part of QUFSD athletics.
“The Queensbury Athletics Hall of Fame is always a wonderful event that celebrates the dedication, sportsmanship and excellence of Spartans who have contributed to our proud athletic tradition,” said Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon. “We encourage our community to submit nominations and help us recognize people who have made a lasting impact on Queensbury athletics.”
The Athletics Hall of Fame committee will be accepting nominations through April 1, 2026. Inductees will be notified in May.
