Fifteen Queensbury High School student-athletes signed their ceremonial commitment letters to play sports next year at their chosen colleges and universities.

All of these athletes have made the sacrifices necessary to perform at a collegiate level, said Richard Keys, the director of health, athletics and physical education.

“Making a commitment to play college athletics at any level is a great achievement and deserving of recognition,” Keys said. “Today is the culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work, commitment and dedication to their sport, their teams and to themselves.”

Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon told the student-athletes to thank their parents for the time, miles, effort and money they put into helping their children achieve this level of athletics.

“I appreciate the families and all your hard work, the coaches, all the time, effort and energy,” Gannon said. “I couldn’t be more proud, so congratulations.”
