William H. Barton Intermediate School special education teacher Amanda Christman was named a TCT Teacher of the Week on May 12.
Teacher of the Week is a weekly awards program sponsored by TCT Federal Credit Union and Adirondack Broadcasting that honors local school employees making a positive impact on their students and school communities. Each week during the school year one recipient is selected and announced on air.
“Mrs. Christman is a caring and compassionate teacher for all students,” according to the TCT announcement. “She really gets to know them and connect. She always finds the best way to nurture them and encourages each student. Mrs. Christman creates an atmosphere where students can’t wait to go to school each day. They thrive with their learning.”
