This week, students enjoyed a classic autumn favorite — freshly made apple crisp.

Chef Steve Sutliff visited the cafeterias at Queensbury Elementary School, the William H. Barton Intermediate School and Queensbury Middle School with the brown-sugary surprise.

Fall officially began Sept. 22, which means it is apple-picking season in upstate New York. Apples are not only delicious but also packed with nutrients that support heart health.

At Queensbury, we’re proud to serve red apples sourced directly from Yonder Farms in Hudson, N.Y. — located just 83 miles from our campus.
