Successful business owner Kate Austin once worked as a mall janitor, a door-to-door vacuum salesperson and a customer service representative in a polytetrafluoroethylene factory.

Austin, the founder of Advokate, shared with students her journey from art school drop-out to a powerhouse businessperson and marketing guru in downtown Glens Falls. 

“My business, Advokate, empowers startups, small businesses, nonprofits and artists with the marketing tools they need to be successful,” Austin said.
