Queensbury High School Spanish teacher Leah Grady was awarded the Ruth E. Wasley NYS World Language Teacher of the Year Award at the New York State Association for Language Teachers conference in Albany over the weekend of Oct. 17-18.
This award is given to a NYSAFLT member who has demonstrated excellence in K-12 foreign language teaching.
Grady, who was nominated by Queensbury High School Principal Andrew Snide, will also be recognized at the 2026 Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages conference in February and will be an automatic nominee for the NECTFL Teacher of the Year award competition.
