Queensbury High School math teacher Nella Vetter was named a TCT Teacher of the Week on Monday, Dec. 15.
Teacher of the Week is a weekly awards program sponsored by TCT Federal Credit Union and Adirondack Broadcasting that honors local school employees making a positive impact on their students and school communities. Each week during the school year one recipient is selected and announced on air.
“Mrs. Vetter goes far beyond teaching algebra,” according to Froggy 100.3. “She supports her students as people, and not just learners. She always finds the exact areas that her students are struggling with, and provides them targeted help so they can succeed.
“When giving tests, Mrs. Vetter focuses on the questions where students need to improve their math skills most, and truly helps them to learn the material. Her kindness, patience and dedication is appreciated by her students. Thanks to Mrs. Nella Vetter for all she does at Queensbury High School.”
