Flyer about Drive-Thru Food Drive from 9-11 a.m. April 18 at Queensbury High School.

Queensbury High School’s Captain’s Club is conducting a drive-thru food drive from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 to benefit the Queensbury Union Free School District’s Snack Pack Program.

Through the Snack Pack Program, nearly 250 Queensbury students take bags of food home every week containing items to sustain them over the weekend. The program is completely funded by donations and administered by student and parent volunteers, who pack bags weekly.

The program is in dire need of items to help feed Queensbury families every weekend and over school breaks.

“We are in desperate need of food,” said Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon. “Our resources are getting very low. We need our Q-munity to come out and support our Snack Pack program.”

On April 18, food donations can be dropped off at Queensbury High School. No one will need to leave their cars in order to donate. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Checks can be made out to QUFSD Snack Pack Program.

The Snack Pack program welcomes any donations, but is specifically in need of: boxes of cereal, jelly (in a plastic container), and pasta and sauce. Other items needed include: oatmeal packets, Chewy granola bars, mac & cheese cups, mac & cheese boxes, Nutri Grain Bars, individually wrapped snacks, ramen noodles, tuna fish, and peanut butter (in a plastic container).

Can’t make it to the Drive-Thru Food Drive on April 18? Place an order from the Snack Pack Program’s Amazon Wish List. Items will ship directly to campus.
