Twenty-five Queensbury High School student-artists were named finalists for the 35th annual High School Juried Show with a total of 36 works of art from QHS students.
Queensbury High School senior Averi Belanger won one of the three Juror’s Choice Awards, and freshman Daly Girard won the North Country Arts Award.
Their artwork will be on display at The Hyde Collection in downtown Glens Falls through May 17 at the museum’s Charles R. Wood Gallery.
The Hyde exhibit opened with a reception and awards ceremony on April 18.
“The High School Juried Show serves as a transformative opportunity for area high school students to delve into the intricacies of the art world, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge along the way,” according to the Hyde’s website. “High school artists employ diverse styles and mediums, including drawing, painting, digital illustration, photography, mixed-media, jewelry, sculpture and ceramics.”
