QHS Students of the Quarter.

Thirteen Queensbury High School students were named Students of the Quarter on Thursday, April 30.

Student of the Quarter recognizes students for their character as well as their academic success. Parents were invited to a small breakfast ceremony to honor the students.

“Today is a special opportunity to recognize students who consistently demonstrate what it means to be leaders, role models and dedicated members of our school community,” said Assistant Principal Margaret Lawrence.

Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon congratulated the parents and urged the students to tell their parents they love them.

“Certainly raising kids is always a challenge, but today is to celebrate and show you the great things that have happened with your child,” Gannon said to parents.

QHS Principal Andrew Snide pointed out that the 13 Students of the Quarter were chosen from about 1,000 students in the high school.

“This means a lot, and this is what really makes us enjoy our jobs, what makes it fun for us coming into this building every day,” Snide said. “Kudos to you parents for raising such wonderful kids.”
