Members of the Queensbury High School Class of 2026 participated in the annual Senior Give Back Day on Friday, May 29.
The fun-filled day started with a senior walk around Queensbury Elementary School, where they were able to pass through a tunnel of elementary school students cheering them on. Seniors then boarded buses to more than a dozen locations in the Queensbury area to volunteer their time. Students worked a variety of jobs at the Chapman Historical Museum, Glens Falls Elks Lodge, Glens Falls Senior Center, Gurney Lane Recreation Area, The Hyde Collection, Our Lady of Annunciation Church, Queensbury Central Fire Department, Queensbury United Methodist Church, the Center for Early Learning, The Glen at Hiland Meadows, the YMCA, roadside cleanup on Sanford Street and the town watershed property as well as STEM activities on the school campus.
The day wrapped up with a senior barbecue, the yearbook dedication and cap/gown distribution. Congratulations to high school art teacher Amanda Hoffis for being honored with this year's yearbook dedication!
