Executive function and self-regulation skills provide critical supports for learning and development. These skills allow us to retain and work with information in our brains, focus our attention, filter distractions, and switch mental gears.
For various reasons, some children and teens need explicit instruction and many opportunities to practice these skills.
Dr. Jennifer Bashant will offer a virtual workshop titled, “Help Your Child with ADHD Build Executive Function Skills,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10.
During this webinar, participants will learn strategies to help their children develop and use these critical skills.
“Executive functioning skills can be taught and strengthened,” said Christine Delaney, director of social and emotional learning and UPK. “This webinar will empower families with practical tools to help their children build independence and confidence.”
